Hi, my name is Lena. I am originally from Slovakia but London has been my home for over half of my life. My love of photography started by looking through old family photos. Most of my childhood photos are cherished snapshots of moments in time. I have always been fascinated with photography and I have strong creative streak.
I have worked as a make up artist for almost 20 years, running between fashion shows and editorial shoots. My editorial work appeared in several fashion magazines and I had wonderful opportunities working with top creatives within the fashion industry. My proudest moment? A book, Four Inches, commissioned by Elton John in collaboration with Jimmy Choo and Cartier, which was for women, about women and by women.
My love of photography led me to another creative project. I co-founded a small business, Feather and Twig, which specialised in hand printing photographs on recycled wooden blocks.
I rediscovered my passion for photography when my daughter Sofia (dynamic bundle of passion and determination) arrived into this world 11 years ago.
My family's appreciation of delicious food (my husband is Italian for goodness sake!) means our kitchen is the beating heart of our home. Hence, photography + food was a no brainer.
When I am not chasing light, you will find me crafting, wandering in nature, discovering interesting new places or dancing in my kitchen.
